COVID-19 Update
The health and safety of our participants and the community is of utmost importance to us. We continue. to monitor the current situation regarding COVID-19 and how it will impact you both as individuals and as professionals. We are following closely communications and releases from the World Health Organization, the Center for Disease Control, the Federation of State Physician Health Programs, and the Hawaii State Department of Health.

Contacting Pu`ulu Lapa`au and staff
We have resumed usual business hours, but this is subject to change, depending on guidance from the State of Hawaii and healthcare organizations.
Meeting with the Medical Director:
Meetings may be conducted in-person or virtual.
Drug Screens:
If you are required to submit drug testing, you are required to continue, as usual. The frequency of testing may change during this time, so please make sure to check in daily. Usual drug testing may be modified if the following apply:
If any of the above apply, we will require verification and you may be required to refrain from clinical practice. Please note that additional or alternatives to urine drug testing may be required, such as nail or blood testing.
Please be aware the some lab collection sites may reduce hours, staff, or close entirely. Please call the lab before you go in for lab testing.
12-Step Meetings:
If you are required to attend meetings, you may continue to attend in-person meetings, but online meetings will be accepted. Signatures will not be required, but please continue to log attendance. The number of meetings will not change, at this time.
Please keep in mind the changing recommendations to avoid groups greater than 10 individuals and to avoid holding hands, hugging, and to maintain a 6-foot distance.
We encourage all of you to maintain your recovery supports, including family and friends, sponsors and activities that help sustain balance in this time.

The WEconnect app: Provides you with daily reminders to stay on track with your recovery plan. You can create reminders to call your sponsor, go to a group meeting, or meditate—anything you need to provide that extra push
12 Step Meditation Daily Reflections for AA, NA, Al-Anon: This app features hundreds of easy-to-follow guided meditations, as well as soothing music, prayers, and 12-step recovery audio.
Sober Grid allows you to create online profiles and interact, support, and engage with other people in recovery using a platform similar to Facebook. You can also use the app to create anonymous check-ins about whether you’re sober or not, your mood, and what’s going on.
AA Big Book: Gives you access to the full text of the Big Book, along with a meeting finder, podcasts, prayers, and personal stories. You can use the app to bookmark meaningful passages, make notes on individual chapters in the comment section, and search for specific keywords.
I Am Sober: Track your sober days and milestones, build new habits, and enjoy ongoing motivation from a community of people who get it.

- If you are vulnerable to complications from COVID-19;
